In honor of the Feast Day of our Lady of Guadalupe we are pleased to announce an evening with Tish Hinojosa and Gary Nabhan at the cozy Tin Shed Theater in Patagonia.  Singer-Songwriter Leticia “Tish” Hinojosa was born on December 6th in San Antonio, Texas to Mexican immigrant parents. She is the youngest of thirteen siblings. Professing a longstanding interest in music, Hinojosa began performing at an early age. She has released 16 albums between 1987 and 2024 in English and Spanish in a variety of musical genres such as folk, country, pop and Latino. Hinojosa’s interest in cultural diversity is a recurrent theme in both her work and her personal life, and is expressed not only through her award-winning cross-cultural musical productions but also in her volunteer work with several humanitarian organizations and causes. She will be joined by our friend, Gary P. Nabhan, Ph.D., Ethnobotanist, who has been a longtime supporter of our three local non-profits: Border Community Alliance, Patagonia Creative Arts Association, and Voices from the Border. Gary is a superb and prolific author whose titles range from "Agave Spirits" to "Against the American Grain: A Borderlands History of Resistance," "Chili, Clove, and Cardamom: A Gastronomic Journey into the Fragrances and Flavors of Desert Cuisines," and many more. New Para:  The event will begin with a brief honoring of our Lady of Guadalupe and Meet & Greet Reception offering tamales, tequila + wine. Ticket price for Reception is $50/person - SOLD OUT. Ticket price for Concert only is $35/person.  You will have the opportunity to purchase Tish's CDs and Gary's books (terrific Holiday Gifts)
