Wednesday, August 13th, 10-11:30am: Borderlands Literature & Film Circle -August’s BLFC selections are two accountings of a watershed event with archetypical relevance to today’s stories of immigration dreams, devastation, and determination. Tim Z. Hernandez is an award-winning author, investigative researcher, performer, and documentary filmmaker. His books, All They Will Call You, and They Call You Back, are part of a large-scale ongoing project encompassing two books, a performance, and a feature length documentary film, as well as numerous collaborators in both the United States and Mexico.
